Update June 28, 2012: Myrtle Beach comes in at number 30 on the National Insurance Crime Bureau annual report that, "compiled 2011 car theft statistics and compared it to other towns across the country."
And like last year, car thieves aren't taking that nice new Mustang but they will gladly steal your '86 Taurus. We might be number 30 on the national list, which is bad, but not as bad as some other South Carolina cities; Columbia comes in just above us at number 29, but the number eighth worst place to park your car in the nation? Anderson, SC!
Head over to WMBF News for their write-up and broadcast regarding this story. Also, you can hop on over to NICB.org to play with their interactive map and see where the worst spots to park your car in every state
