Charleston Library selling books on the cheap
Flickr user elliotharmon

This weekend, October 10-12, the Friends of the Charleston Public Library is presenting a book sale in which over 60,000 items will be for sale at the Gaillard Municipal Auditorium‎ at 77 Calhoun Street.

The sale officially begins Friday, October 10, at 10 a.m., where books will be sold for “dirt cheap.”

It’s a good opportunity to spruce up your book-shelf, desk, or nightstand.

For a price of $20, you can attend the pre-sale party on Thursday, October 9, from 5:30-8:00 p.m., where you can get first dibs on books, CDs, and art. Friends of the Library is a non-profit organization that attempts to improve services offered by the Charleston Public Library system. Anyone can become a member.

Find more about this “page turner” at the Charleston County Library, the book sale Web Site, or at the Charleston City Paper.

The event is free, and most everything is half-price on Sunday.
