Goin' down to the market
Geoff Marshall

The city of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs recently announced that the Charleston Farmers Market was named the 5th-best in the nation, according to a survey by Travel & Leisure magazine.

We dispatched Reporter Charlotte Gutman down to the Farmers Market at Marion Square to see what all the fuss was about.

More than 60,000 responses were collected for the survey, which also put Charleston at No. 1 for friendliness and No. 7 for culture.

Where: King and Calhoun streets, Marion Square, Charleston
When: Saturday’s 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., from April and December
