And while I'm on the topic, recently we pointed out a piece that illustrated just how much the local shrimpers get squeezed when their product isn't consumed locally.
So if you have the chance to buy local shrimp (particularly from the shrimpers themselves), not only is it the trendy decision but it'll also help save the Lowcountry's scenery.
