Police arrest one, search for one more in August slaying

Police are reporting they have arrested one person and still search for another in connection with the August 29 slaying of Herman Ward, 24.
Police found Ward lying bleeding from the head and lying in the road at the Stratton Capers neighborhood, he was taken to the hospital where he died on Thursday, September 4.
Xavier Terrel Walker, 23, is charged with murder and police still seek Roger ‘Bongo’ Dewayne Rutledge, 28.
Those with information are encourage to call the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office at 873-5111 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
