Democrats seek to reach nearly 500 Charleston County voters

We believe that his accusations are reckless and without merit. We believe that Wallace Scarborough is a sore loser who will say and do anything to obstruct the will of the voters for his own selfish gain.

The Charleston County Democratic Party on why they created a Web site listing the names of nearly 500 voters. Incumbent Wallace Scarborough lost his state house seat on James Island and Folly Beach by some 200 votes on November 4 to Democrat Anne Peterson-Hutto. Scarborough is challenging the outcome of the election in court, demanding a revote.

The thinking goes, if enough challenged voters can prove they voted properly, Scarborough’s claims can be dismissed.
