Beaufort rooted bonnet makers turn to middleman, sees success, mention in The Wall Street Journal

A pair of their recent designs.
I don't have kids and have heard of the "Beaufort Button Bonnet," and though the product of Janie McQueen didn't see much love from her hometown retailers, perseverance and turning to a middleman distributor have helped her pick up sales.
And it's earned her the lead mention in a story at The Wall Street Journal.
It's a bit of an anti-Internet success story where turning to online marketplaces like Etsy and her own website didn't bring McQueen nearly as much success as a traditional middleman product rep and a chain of retail boutiques.
At any rate, take a read of the story here.
And though McQueen now lives in Atlanta, kudos to a home-towner done good.
