Steve Berry to teach writing workshop

The University of South Carolina Beaufort Continuing Education series has connected with famed author Steve Berry for a three-and-a-half-hour "History Matters writer’s workshop" on Monday, January 17.

New York Times bestselling author Steve Berry will teach the craft of writing including the four "C's" of story structure, effective dialogue, point of view, and the all important 10 Rules of Writing in three 50-minute sessions, followed by a Q & A session.

All the proceeds from this event benefit the Old Beaufort College Fund for the restoration of historic buildings on the University of South Carolina Beaufort’s Historic Campus.

It's $95 and you can get a registration form here. It runs from 1:30 to 5 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Beaufort at  2225 Boundary Street. A 10% discount will be given to all USCB staff, students, and faculty.

A hat tip to The Island Packet for spotting this one.

Earlier in the day, Berry will be in attendance at the USCB Lunch With Author series at 11 a.m.

Update December 30: The Island Packet has added a similar report that, most notably, talks a bit more about how USCB can use the money to fix their historic campus; take a read here.
