From Friday, February 24th through Sunday, February 26th, Beaufort is going to honor and celebrate all things Irish during their 5th Annual Irish Festival.

There are tons of events, ranging from Irish stepdancing exhibitions and live performances by Irish musicians to a downtown pub night and a gala party. Some of the highlights include:

  • An Evening in Ireland - February 24th, 6 to 9 p.m. at Best Western Sea Island Inn (1015 Bay Street) - Enjoy delicious food and great entertainment featuring local favorite Harry O'Donoghue. Tickets are $45 per person. Event is limited to 125 guests.
  • Irish Family Festival - February 25th, Noon to 4 p.m. at Quality Inn (2001 Boundary Street) - The kids will love games geared especially towards them, and big and little kids alike will enjoy Irish musicians, dancers, and great food and drink. Tickets are $10 at the door; kids 12 and under get in for free.
  • Irish Pub Night - February 25th, 9 p.m. until... at Luther's Rare & Well-Done (910 Bay Street) - Ireland and pubs go hand-in-hand, so get your drinking hat on and get ready to party until the last partier heads home.
  • Jam Session - February 26th, 1 to 4 p.m. at Luther's Rare & Well-Done (910 Bay Street) - After your long night of drinking, you'll love heading back to Luther's for some relaxing music.
