Habersham's First Friday is here

Habersham's First Friday series is back, and unlike past years, the monthly celebration and farmers market won't stop in the winter and will go yearround.

The event starts at 5:30 p.m. today, February 1, with live music along with food and arts and crafts vendors.

Sea Eagle Market is the featured vendor serving gumbo, steamed shrimp or a lowcountry boil supper for $5. The vendors and businesses along Market Street will also be open, including the restaurants: Maggie's PubPiace Pizza and Berto's Tex-Mex Grill.

Playing will be Charleston’s bluegrass trio Boss Hawg with various types of bluegrass and some eclectic arrangements such as turning rock to hillbilly.

The event goes until 8:30.

The Habersham Marketplace is located at 13 Market Street in the Habersham Neighborhood, located off of Joe Frazier Road.
