This tap is about to get a lot more popular at Wren.

Atlanta Brewing Company is making a trip downtown to Beaufort tomorrow for an impromptu Oktoberfest event at Wren.

The downtown restaurant will host a set of mobile taps from the brewery that is home of the Red Brick line of beers (B average on BeerAdvocate) and Laughing Skull brew. Tasting flights of beer will be offered along with $3 drafts, $3 steamed shimp baskets, and $3 bratwurst baskets with the restaurant's favorite skinny fries making an appearance.

The fun will run from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 1st, at 210 Carteret Street.

Thrifty readers will note that this chance for cheap and tasty brews and food occurs just before the free Lt. Dan Band concert at Waterfront Park at 8:30.
