Updated Nov. 18: The Island Packet has some nice photos on its website of Riverview students picking flowers and vegetables out at Habersham Farms in preparation for tonight's event. Check out the photos here.

First reported Nov. 16: Riverview Charter School is helping to fight against hunger by hosting an Empty Bowls Night on Thursday Nov. 18 at the school.

Students have created ceramic bowls, and will serve a simple meal of bread and soup. Guests are encouraged to purchase bowls from a silent auction that will take place afterward. 

In exchange for the meal, guests are asked to make a donation to the Lowcountry Food Bank.
