Meet the iBot enhanced wheelchair, and locals that worry about its loss

The stability of the chair is often shown off.
Think of an iBot as a Segway meets wheelchair.
Not only can it lift occupants by balancing on its hind wheels it can also do impressive things like move up stairs and simply do things like provide more stability and balance than a normal wheelchair.
But Hardeeville iBot user Bart Brophy worries about what the product's discontinuation means for folks like him and wounded veterans who often use the pricy machines to do tasks that would be impossible in a normal chair.
The Island Packet has a nice profile of Brophy and the chair; take a read here.
Why would this product be discontinued? These people need is so much, it can make a huge difference on the quality of their lives. These people also deserve home features that are supposed to help with their daily tasks. The acorn stairlifts new york ny is just one example that shows how these people can adapt.
