A splendid review of Dataw's Sweetgrass restaurant
Lowcountry Weekly's Mark Shaffer dropped by the "Sweetgrass" restaurant at Dataw Island Marina and has returned with a generally glowing profile of the new managers and the local-focused fair.
From Mama Green’s Banana Pudding to Off-the-Ranch Lasagna to a shrimp laden Sea Burger, the menu sounds quite interesting.

Sadly though Shaffer made no mention of prices. Luckily the restaurant's website was more informative. Dinner runs $9 to $17, lunch is $9 to $12, with appetizers starting at $6. Grab a glass of the house Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, White Zinfandel, Sparkling, Merlot, or Cabernet for $5.
