USC Beaufort to benefit from $1.2 million grant

The National Science Foundation has awarded South Carolina $1.2 million that will help seven colleges and universities improve their high-speed, high-capacity connections and enhance their classrooms.
The University of South Carolina Beaufort is one of the schools that will receive a piece of the $1.2 million, with the money to be distributed by the South Carolina Research Authority.
