House of Tang Chinese restaurant robbed on Lady's Island

The House of Tang Chinese restaurant on Lady's Island was robbed near 11 p.m. on Saturday by two armed men, and the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is looking for leads.

Details on the incident are below (as well as a map), from the sheriff's office:

Upon arrival, deputies met with employees who advised that two black males, both armed with handguns, had entered the store demanding money.

One suspect walked behind the counter, taking an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, while the other suspect held the employees at gunpoint. Both suspects then fled the store on foot, leaving employees unharmed. No customers were present at the time of the incident.

Both suspects were described as black males between the ages of 18 and 20. One was wearing a black sweatshirt, the other a black t-shirt. No further description was available.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information to contact either Investigator Sgt. J. Fraser at 843-255-3416 or the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at 843-524-2777.
