Educators, teens are taught a lesson out on Parris Island

Despite its size, Beaufort has several draws that garner it national attention, and one of those draws is Parris Island.

Groups of educators and students from around the country make the pilgrimage to Parris Island several times a year to partake in an educators workshop, during which they're put through several of the same exercises as real recruits.

It's not rare to see papers around the country report on teachers and students from their communities partaking in the exercise, but this time around the Republican Herald in Pennsylvania is running a series of stories on the experience.

It's always fun seeing photos of these guys being shouted out by drill instructors, so the piece is worth a look, and you can find the series' first installment here.
