What the haze? Out-of-state forest fires cause cloudy Beaufort skies

Not here, but you get the idea.

Been enduring the smoky skies since yesterday?

Well, rest assured that while it's no fun for the area, there's no forest burning in South Carolina. Rather, those blazes are happening down in Florida and up in North Carolina, and the smoke is blowing in.

The fire was due to move on by 2 a.m. this morning, but we'll get a better idea of how things are as the sun comes up.

You can stay tuned to any local smoke advisories at the National Weather Service.

As for today's weather in general, we're due to hit a high of 89 and a low of 73, and despite a drop of rain yesterday, there's no precipitation on the forecast as the dry conditions continue.

We'll be sure to let you know if a smoke advisory pops back up.
