Gullah Heritage Corridor plan moves along ever so slowly

The on-again, off-again plan to create a heritage corridor preserving the Gullah/Geechee culture appears to be on again, sorta.

According to a Post and Courier story the corridor commission met over the weekend and voted to indeed work to preserve the Gullah/Geechee culture, which is nice of the group considering that's what it's been tasked with doing.

If you read the story here, it seems the commission made a bunch of no-brainer decisions, which leads us to ask: What's been the hold up this whole time?

Combine the slow decision making with ever-present funding issues (apparently the corridor plan only has received about 10% of what it's been allocated) and we wonder if this corridor ever will happen.
