It's a busy, busy week for the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce and Visitor and Convention Bureau.
First off the chamber/VCB is moving its staff offices down to the Carnegie Building and The Aresenal. You might remember that a few months back the agency moved its visitor's center to The Arsenal, and now the rest of the offices are following.
Here's what Chamber President Carlotta Ungaro says about the move in her weekly email blast:
When I first came to the Beaufort Regional Chamber five years ago, the
Chamber had been looking to move for several years. Finally, this week,
it will happen!
Additionally, The Island Packet is reporting that the VCB is asking the municipalities for help in paying for a study that will assess the need for a convention center in northern Beaufort County.
This comes after the VCB held a July charette where it presented a number of potential sites for the proposed convention center.
