End of Cross Island Parkway gets speed limit raised

The old 40 MPH limit is likely history.

After 13 years of debate, the tail end of the Cross Island Parkway and Palmetto Bay Road (US 278) on Hilton Head is finally likely to get a speed limit bump to 45 mph.
Update May 24: The Island Packet writes that new 45 mph speed limit signs are up at the end of the Cross Island Parkway .
