On Sunday, May 16, cars were kicked out and bicycles, pedestrians, and outdoor dining took claim of King Street pavement during the "Do the Charleston" festival. 

Co-chair of the event Kristin Walker has put together a nice photo set the gives the feel of the event, you can check it out over here.

There's still no indication if/when there will be another event, but there appears to be a good amount of goodwill behind the event. Perhaps look for another in the fall.
