The City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs is now accepting applications for the Piccolo Spoleto Rising Stars Series.

The goal of Piccolo Spoleto Rising Stars is to provide artistically talented South Carolinian youths between the ages of 9 and 18 with a high profile performance venue that recognizes their exceptional artistic talent. Each of the six Rising Stars programs will feature five to seven young artists and/or ensembles in a conversation and performance format.

The programs are as follows:

• Visual Art 
• Classical Dance 
• Instrumental or Vocal Classical Music Ensemble 
• Instrumental or Vocal Classical Music Soloist 
• Theatre 
• Creative Writing

The programs will receive special recognition and be listed in the Festival program.
