Polls are open for the 2012 Giving Back Awards (Semifinalists announced)

Charleston Magazine has officially opened the polls for the Giving Back 2012 Nonprofit of the Year Award.

Eighty-eight nonprofit organizations in Charleston, Berkeley, Beaufort, Colleton, and Dorchester counties were nominated for the Giving Back 2012 Nonprofit of the Year Award. Now it's time to cast a vote for your favorite!

The first voting round runs from Monday, July 16 through Friday, July 20. After the first round, the top 50 nonprofits will advance to the next voting round. Individuals may vote one time per day for his or her favorite organization.

Update July 31:The Top 25 nonprofits have advanced to semifinal voting round which will be open from Monday, July 30 through Friday, August 3.

Included in the Top 25 are the Jazz Artists of Charleston, Charleston Library Society, Lowcountry Pregnancy Center, Water Missions International and Camp Happy Days among others.
