No details were overlooked when Taco Boy launched their new mobile food cart bringing a slice of big city foodie trends to lil' ol' Charleston.
For its first gig the truck was equipped for dishing out the restaurant's signature tasty treats at parking spot next to their downtown location at 217 Huger Street.
With a bright blue paint job, playing great tunes, and shelling out tacos of all varieties: braised beef, grilled chicken, fried fish, chorizo and black bean — each one just as good as you may find inside the restaurant.
The most notable being braised beef complimented by sunflower seeds, an interesting combination that proved to be just as good as it looked. The fried fish came in at a close second. Once your order was taken, it took a short time before your taco was ready. Your name was announced through a PA system from the truck and happily handed to you through the window.
The truck kicks off Taco Boy’s new catering program with the truck available for hire. You can arrange to have the food service as a casual walk-up stand or a more formal sit-down affair with servers. You may also on occasion find the truck driving around town, so step aside hot dog stands and brace yourself for some seriously good street meat.
