Popular local restaurateur faces legal, financial trouble (Update: Settlement ordered)

Update 2/26/2012: The Sun News reports that local endontist Wade Nichols was awarded a judgement of $8.6 million in his suit against Jack Divine.

Nichols has also filed against attorney Ross Lindsay who managed Nichols' pension fund in addition to advising Jack Divine. According to testimony in court documents, Lindsay was the key coordinator in the investment from Nichols to Divine that had originally been proposed at $10 million. First Report: Jack Divine of Divine Dining Group has been targeted in various lawsuits and judgements regarding non-payment for loans and investments.

The most recent is a disagreement between Divine and a local endodontist over whether $5 million was a loan or investment. The Sun News' investigative reporter David Wren has an in-depth report. Read it here.
