For over three decades, Thomas Williams has offered customers herbal remedies at Books, Herbs & Spices (63 Spring Street)--but, unfortunately, that's about to end.

At the end of the month, Williams will be closing the doors of Books, Herbs & Spices, due to competition from chain stores and an ever-changing local market--and the struggles that the economy has seen over the past several years didn't help matters.

While the physical store will be going, Williams plans to open an online business at www.herbsbooksspices.com so that his loyal customers will still have a place to get their herbal remedies.
