A West Ashley man has been arrested and accused of sexually assaulting and kidnapping his next door neighbor.

On Saturday, 52-year-old Cecil Cortez Kinsey Jr. of Cartwright Drive offered the victim a ride to her boyfriend's house. However, once the victim entered the car, Kinsey locked the doors and drove her in the opposite direction to the Limehouse Boat Landing where the assault occurred.

Soon after dropping the victim off at her boyfriend's house, police were alerted and Kinsey was placed under arrest.
