Charleston Battery midfielder Tyler Hemming has been called to join Canada’s national soccer team for a May 30 match as well as training camp as Canada prepares for this summer's Gold Cup.

Hemming joined the Battery this season and has had an immediate impact, starting five of the first seven games.

This is Hemmings first call up to Canada’s full national team, but it sounds like he will be back with the Battery after the May 30 match-up against the Cleveland City Stars.
