As thrift sales for children's goods thrive in the down economy, the MOMs Clubs of Mt. Pleasant are hosting their bi-annual Mom to Mom Sale.

The sale, which takes place October 10 from 7 to 11 a.m. at the National Guard Armory, 245 Mathis Ferry Road in Mt Pleasant, is adding a new half-off sale running from 12:30 to 2 p.m. for all remaining items. The sale features items such as toys, books, clothing, baby equipment, bedding, furniture and more from 100 different consigners.

All proceeds from the charity event will be split between the Charleston Autism Academy and the Carolina Children's Charity.
