The Charleston Museum's "Threads of War" exhibit provides the opportunity for you to try on some Civil War period pieces.

The museum's exhibit lasts through October and commemorates the Sesquicentennial of the Civil War by featuring a wide variety of clothing worn in 1860s Charleston.

Of course, all of the authentic Civil War-period pieces are strictly for exhibit purposes only; you won't be trying those bad boys on. However, at the end of teh exhibit, you can try on period costumes and dress like it's 1860.

Visit the Charleston Museum at 360 Meeting Street to check out "Threads of War."

Charleston Scene has a great, personal review of the exhibit; check it out here.
