Local photographer extraordinaire Keith Jacobs set up a photo booth at the event and posted the shots to a large open album on Facebook. Check it out (Facebook log-in required).

First Report: X-Con World, Myrtle Beach's only comic book, sci-fi, fantasy and gaming convention is back!
X-Con World will kick off its fourth annual convention on Saturday, October 22nd at the Spingmaid Resort in Myrtle Beach. Sponsored by the Palmetto Arts Alliance, a non-profit that aims to funds and supports numerous Myrtle Beach area charities; X-Con has grown in both size and popularity over the years. Fans of comic books, sci-fi, collectible toys, gaming, horror and pop culture in general will feel right at home.
What's new at this year's X-Con?
This year X-Con will welcome some new guests:
- The Carolina Paranormal Society: a not-for-profit group whose purpose is to research and investigate evidence of paranormal phenomenon using practices and methods which are scientific in nature.
- C. Martin Croker: an animator and voice actor on various Adult Swim programs. He's best known for voicing the Space Ghost characters Zorak and Moltar on Space Ghost Coast to Coast.
- Bo Hampton: Graphic novel artist, best known for Riven, Batman: Castle of the Bat and Legend of Sleepy Hollow. He has worked on Extreme Ghostbusters TV and Full length video feature) as well as Superman and Batman animation for Cartoon Network spot.
- Greyson Wolf: Famed fang-maker for the hit HBO show True Blood as well as Quentin Tarantino's vampire flick, From Dusk Till Dawn.
