Update November 15: Well, the second "Second Sunday on King Street" has come and gone and once again looks to have been a pretty big success by bringing out the crowds, and folks visiting shops they usually skip.

The Post and Courier went out for it and has a nice write-up and photo gallery.

Still the success of the event is making other King Street merchants envious and leaving them feeling left out.

The next event is slated for December 11.

First reporting: As you've no doubt heard, the first Second Sunday on King Street went swimmingly with thousands drawn out for a rare casual stroll or sidewalk dining on a street that is usually overflowing with cars and pedestrians on narrow sidewalks.

And so, the next King Street closure is slated for Sunday, November 14, and if you were particularly moved either way you should take the survey about the event.
