The only place to get Indian food on the peninsula, Chinar Indian Restaurant, is closing it's doors for good on Saturday, May 30.

Read more stories on this subject in our restaurants topic page.After speaking with an employee, it looks as if the King Street restaurant simply wasn't pulling in enough money or customers. The Taste of India Restaurant, a sister restaurant, will remain open at 851 Savannah Highway.

Chinar Indian Restaurant is located at 363 King Street, downtown.

Chinar, you shall be missed.
