The College of Charleston Madrigal Singers are getting into the spirit of things, and are mixing in more than a bit of Renaissance flair.
The group will perform sacred and secular traditional holiday season carols during three evenings accompanied with Renaissance entertainment and a period feast during their "A Yuletide Madrigal Feast." The menu is set to offer Cornish hen, haricot vert, wild rice, apple caramel tart, coffee, and wine. Wassail -- a spiced ale -- will also be served.
The event will be held three times on Thursday, December 2, Friday, and Saturday at 7 p.m. in Alumni Memorial Hall in Randolph Hall, on the College campus. Tickets are $60 each and need to be reserved in advance, (843) 953-8231.
The group is conducted by Dr. Robert Taylor.
