Conway's annual Rivertown Christmas Celebration kicks off  December 6th and events are scheduled each Thursday until December 20th.

This Thursday, December 6th head to downtown Conway and get in the holiday spirit by enjoying a carriage ride, visiting with Santa at the corner of 4th & Laurel, or some live entertainment down the block on 3rd Avenue.

On December 13th enjoy the same events but this time there are living window displays. The displays feature friends and family of shop owners acting out holiday-themed scenes. According to The Sun News, last year one of the themes was Santa getting a hair cut at one of Conway's salons.

December 20th, the third and final week of the Rivertown Christmas Celebration, will feature a Canine Christmas Costume Contest

"Bring the family dog to Downtown Conway on December 20 for the Conway Canine Christmas Costume Contest. Enjoy a holiday costume contest as well as contests like best kisser, best singer, best dancer, best trick and more."

For more registration info and more details hop over to the Canine Christmas Costume Contest page.

The fun starts at 6 p.m. and will go until 8 p.m. To help not only find that perfect gift but help out local small businesses, shops in downtown Conway will be open late so Rivertown Christmas Celebration guests can also get their shopping on.
