The Greater Park Circle Film Society is set to present the film 'Gospel Hill' directed by Giancarlo Esposito Saturday, June 13.

Here is a bit about the film:

Gospel Hill is an award-winning film about haunted men, the former sheriff of the southern town dealing with past sins and the former civil rights worker withdrawn since the martyrdom of his brother thirty years before. It is also about courageous women who confront the ghosts of their men’s pasts as they face an uncertain future with a proposed housing development that will displace a traditional neighborhood. It is a film about struggle and reconciliation.

Film times are 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. and tickets are $2 for members and $5 for non-members.

The Olde North Charleston Picture House, located at 1080 East Montague Avenue in Park Circle.

Update June 9: A panel of people from local neighborhoods will discuss area development after the film. MyParkCircle has details.
