Update August 24: There's just one more day until Charleston creative thinkers gather together for Pecha Kucha Night 7 and the event location has finally been revealed.

The Sottile Theater on the College of Charleston campus will play host to the seventh installment of Pecha Kucha Night with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and presentation beginning at 7 p.m.

Here's the post on the official website.

The Sottlie Theater is located at 44 George Street in downtown Charleston.

And don't forget the Twitter hashtag is #PKCHS.

First reporting: The 7th edition of "pechachca night" is nearly here for Charleston and while they're being shy as usual about the downtown venue, we do know it's at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 25.

The periodic event is a highlight in Charleston's creative community and offers a chance to network and learn about Charleston's creative thinkers under an unusual presentation format of 6 minutes and 40 seconds to talk about whatever, provided you use 20 slide and spend only 20 seconds on each slide.

Here's who will be speaking:

  • Nathan Durfee – MC for the evening
  • Brad Ball, Sommelier/Owner, Social Restaurant + Wine Bar – Culinary
  • David Boatwright- painter/artist/musician/designer – Visual Arts
  • Mitchell Davis – 20 things I learned along the way – Publishing
  • Ayoka Lucas, Style Editor, Charleston Magazine – Charleston’s fashion culture has changed over the last ten years – Visual Arts
  • Leah Suarez – Latin Singer – Performing Arts
  • Christopher Zorn – Collecta – real time social media search engine
  • And it sounds like they may have one or two names to add to that list.
