As part of National Bike Month in Charleston, Charleston Moves is helping put on the Battery2Beach bike ride this Sunday, May 16.

What is it? A chance to show off the state of biking from the beach to the Charleston Battery.

Which beach? That choice is yours, you can be part of one group riding from Folly, or part of a group riding from Isle of Palms. Or you can team up with the riders as they cycle past your starting point on the way to downtown.

The ride starts at  10 a.m. and is slated to end at noon at VIckery's downtown, where you can then seemlesly join in the festivities at "Do the Charleston" on King Street from noon to 5 p.m. where the street will be closed to traffic and opened to bicyclist and pedestrians.

Brillant.

You can learn more about the rides (and get maps) on the Battery2Beach website, and learn more about Do the Charleston over here.
