Update August 5: The Post and Courier made it out to the festival and has a nice (and the only) report I've seen from the festival.

They note that more than 4,000 made it out to this year's installment.

Take a read of their report here and check out their photo gallery here.

First reporting: This Sunday, Boone Hall Plantation is hosting their annual BBQ and Bluegrass Festival that will make for the ultimate Sunday Funday this Labor Day Weekend.

The day will be filled with live music courtesy of the "The Queen of Bluegrass," Rhonda Vincent, and "The King Of Newgrass," Sam Bush, with special guests The Next Best Thing, Common Ground, and Homeboy Reunion Bluegrass Band.

The popular Mechanical Bull Riding Contest will be back (3 p.m. to 3:45), and work on that throwing arm so you can douse some local radio and TV personalities in the celebrity dunking booth.

Not to be overlooked, in the BBQ portion of the day locals and amateurs are invited to show-off their talents in a a barbecue competition. Delicious barbeque will be sold, so come hungry and bring a bib.

Tickets range from $8 to $25 in advance, and will jump up to $35 at the gate.
