Two Maverick dinners with the First Lady of USC

Delicious and nutritious. It's not only the theme for the two exciting dinners we have planned at High Cotton Charleston and the Old Village Post House this month, it is also the focus of guest cooking instructor and author Patricia Moore-Pastides' "Greek Revival: Cooking for Life" cookbook.

"Greek Revival contains 87 recipes with a color picture of each one, but it is more than a cookbook as it illustrates the health benefits of the traditional Mediterranean diet and lifestyle," says Ms. Moore-Pastides, University of South Carolina First Lady.

Ms. Moore-Pastides, who has worked to bring a commitment to wellness beyond the university community through the weekly Healthy Carolina Farmers Market and Columbia's Cooking! classes, will join Chef Frank Lee and Chef Ramon Taimanglo for two special dinners. Both dinners will feature recipes from Ms. Moore-Pastides' cookbook paired with beverages by Patrick Emerson, Maverick Wine and Beverage Director.

The Old Village Post House dinner will be held on Wednesday, February 23rd. The four-course dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. at a cost of $55 per person. Reservations are required, cal (843) 388-8935.
