On Saturday, February 11th and Sunday, February 12th, Charles Towne Landing State Historic State Park (1500 Old Towne Road) is showing the community its appreciation by offering a reduced admission price for locals.

Residents of Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties will get half off the park's regular admission price and will also be able to participate in some free programs that haven't been offered before.

Saturday is Exploration and Discovery Day, offering patrons the chance to experience what life was like for the area's first colonists. Several free programs will be available, and for an additional $4 fee per person, you can get special tours of the Animal Forest and other park areas. These tours are limited, so be sure to make your reservations ahead of time by calling Charles Towne Landing at 843-852-4200.

In order to receive your admission discount, be sure to have your valid South Carolina ID card of driver's license with you when you arrive.
