The Charleston Tells Storytelling Festival isn't due until March 8-9, 2013, but the Charleston County Public Library organizers behind the event are giving a teaser this weekend.
"Songspinner: A Concert of Musical Folktales" will come to the Circular Congregational Church on Sunday, November 4, at 7 p.m. with music, poetry and enchanting tales from in this free program by world-renowned storyteller Heather Forest.
"Forest’s wit, elegance, comedy and original music are woven together as she shares fables, fairytales and ancient stories of adventure and enchantment", said event organizers.
The event is free.
Sponsored by the S.C. Storytelling Network, this is one of several free pre-festival program planned by Charleston County Public Library in advance of the inaugural Charleston Tells Storytelling Festival, March 8-9.
The church is at 150 Meeting Street in downtown Charleston.
