Saturday, May 7th, and Sunday, May 8th, Boone Hall gives you the opportunity to show your love for all things strawberry-related at the Lowcountry Strawberry Festival.
There are loads of things to do at the festival including:
- Picking strawberries in the U-Pick fields
- Games and rides
- Face-painting and juggling
- Pie Eating and Recipe contests
- Miss Berry Princess Contest (held on May 8th)
From previous experience, I can tell you two things: the strawberries are delicious, and the Pie Eating Contest is no joke. (I even have pictures proving this last bit of info--me with strawberry pie up my nose.)
This year, Boone Hall Plantation has a new feature that will save families some serious dough--wristbands. These wristbands provide the individual holders with unlimited admission to ALL ticketed amusement rides. The Ride Everything wristbands can be purchased in advance online for $10 each. They'll also be available at the event for $12 each.
The festival will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 7th, and from 12 until 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 8th. Admission prices are: $6 for adults, $4 for kids ages 3-12. For more information and to buy tickets, visit Boone Hall's webpage here.
