Chances are you've already started to wonder about what's worth doing in Charleston for New Year's Eve.

Regardless of what your plans are, don't worry about freezing as today's high is near 70 and the low isn't expected to go below 50. New Year's Day is to be even warmer.

Well there's more than a few events of note and Charleston Scene has already prepped a round up of a couple dozen area events; take a gander here.

And, yes, you can expect a similar list from the Charleston City Paper; here's a connect to their list.

Meanwhile The Post and Courier has posted on two family-friendly New Year's Eve events: Happy New Year, Charleston! in Marion Square and the Winter Carnival at James Island County park.

And if you're planning on setting off some fireworks, better do it discreetly if you live in the City of  Charleston, Folly, Sullivan’s, or Isle of Palms as they forbid it.
