On Tuesday, November 17th, bits of debris from Comet Tempel-Tuttle will produce one of the best meteor shower events of our lifetime.
Make sure to turn your gaze upward around 4 a.m. for the the Leonid Meteor Shower; it is sure to be a natural spectacular. NASA is predicting 20 to 30 meteors per hour over the Americas, so weather permitting, you'll be sure to see some action.
As if a meteor shower isn't cool enough, this year the Leonids (bits of debris) will appear to be shooting almost directly out of the planet Mars.
If you want to get technical with the whole thing, check out NASA's article on the meteor shower. Otherwise, just kick back and enjoy and the show.
