CBX readies for a sparkling rare beer Tuesday

By now you know the drill - every Tuesday at 5 p.m. Charleston Beer Exchange taps a very special keg for growler fills. This Tuesday they're featuring a special treat for everyone when they tap a keg of Bell's Sparkling Ale, a 9% ABV Belgian-style Tripel that is not seen in South Carolina in bottles and only very rarely on tap.
With an overall score of 92 on ratebeer.com and an 86 from beeradvocate.com, the Sparkling Ale is an American Triple, fermented with both Trappist and Belgian yeast. The result is a golden, malty ale, high in alcohol with a fruity nose, a rich ester profile and tart finish.
Swing on by and grab a growler of this beer that is perfect for enjoying during the holiday season. The Charleston Beer Exchange is located at 14 Exchange Street.
As an aside, we also wanted to let you know that CBX is open normal hours Mon-Sat 11 a.m. - 9 p.m., Sun 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. everyday throughout the New Year's weekend.
