On November 16 and 17, the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina will be hosting the First Annual “Smoke on the Harbor BBQ Throwdown,” a Southern BBQ Network sanctioned event benefiting the Lowcountry Food Bank.
Competition categories include pork butts, pork ribs and chicken wings. The chicken wings contest will be held on the evening of Friday, November 16. Pork butts and ribs entries will be turned-in on the morning of Saturday, November 17.
In addition to all of the delicious bbq, there will also be live music, a vendor's village, activities for the kiddies and a food drive that will benefit the Lowcountry Food Bank. Patrons will be encouraged to bring a minimum of 5 non-perishable food items and receive $5 off admission. The price of admission is $10.
