Ted's Butcherblock plans Tex-Mex dinner date

Complementing their month-long celebration of Mexican specialties, Ted's Butcherblock is greaing up Thursday, May 21 at 7 p.m. to host a Tex-Mex and craft beer dinner at their shop on 334 East Bay Street in downtown Charleston.

Here's a full rundown of what they're offering:

"ON THE BORDER" CRAFT BEER DINNER
We’re exploring Tex-Mex cuisine and craft beers from the border states of Texas and California at this month’s craft beer dinner:

First Course: Traditional Gazpacho w/Fields Farm Corn, Texas Sweet Onion & Chipotle Griddle Cakes
Paired with Southern Star Bombshell Blonde Ale

Second Course: Scallop, Tomatillo, Lime, Coriander & Heirloom Radish Ceviche w/Crisp Lavash & Avocado
Paired with Bear Republic Race 5 IPA

Third Course: Slow-Smoked Pork Flautas w/Ancho Crema, Grilled Anaheim Peppers & Queso Fresco, served w/Chorizo, Juniper & New Potato Hash
Paired with Southern Star Pine Belt Pale

Dessert: Spiced Chocolate & Fried Banana Empanada w/Churro Ice Cream
Paired with Bear Republic Big Bear Stout
