The Charleston Beer Exchange posse is going towards the light with their weekly Rare Beer Tuesday and Rare Bomber Thursday events, both at 5 p.m.

Tuesday's growler fill feature will be the latest addition to the Victory Braumeister Pils series, this one featuring Sladek hops.  This Czech varietal is a variation on the noble Saaz hop, noted for bring a clean, sharp finish to the country's world-famous Pilsners.  Previous Braumeister Pils tappings at CBX have been well-received and inexpensive, and I'd expect that trend to continue with this puppy.  5.5% ABV, 94.

Allagash Brewing Company steps up to fulfill your Thursday bomber needs with their limited and draft-only Blonde Ale.  I can't find a wealth of info on this one, but it looks like it went on tap in Chicago for the first time about three weeks ago.  With a few of the country's best beer bars there, this one sounds like a true rarity to me.  8.2% ABV, A-.

Charleston Beer Exchange plays it cool at 14 Exchange Street downtown.
